Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:
Thank you to all the MHA members that made the Literacy Family Night: Spaghetti and a Movie a wonderful success. We had over 250 participants.
Please go on the MHA website under the “drive” “shared with me” tabs to review the Flipcharts for Go Math Chapter 2 curriculum. Thank you Ms. Tracy O’Blines; for assisting all of us in providing easy access to the flip charts and other Go Math guides. We appreciate all you do.
We are happy to announce our partnership with St. Mary’s Recreation Center. Our second graders will be participating in the Swim4Life program. Teachers, please urge your students, of all grades, of the swimming afterschool program at St. Mary’s. They have other afterschool programs at well.
Commencing this week on Friday, October 18th, is the basketball afterschool program. Please see Mr. Adler for more details.
Reminder: · Teachers attending workshops out of the building are to email the grade facilitator, Ms. Gonzalez and Me their lesson plan for the substitute teacher, by 3 p.m. the day before the date of the workshop. Additionally, log on to Sub Central and order a sub-teacher ASAP. · Students will be allowed into the auditorium approximately 7:55 a.m. · Teachers are to meet their students in the auditorium by 8:00 a.m. · Please continue to discuss the PBIS matrix in all of the classes (including Enrichment classes) to ensure the safety of all MHA members · Technology Prep periods and Music (Mr. Chen) Prep periods will be conducted in the classrooms (Push-In) for the month of October 2013. · Administrative class walk-throughs will continue this month; as to not interrupt the lesson, please have your lesson plan available for our review. Please refer to the Teacher Resource Page at the MHA website for Lesson Plan Template created with the Common Core and Danielson Framework components/expectations. · September’s Running Records, Math Baseline, etc. assessments are due to the Coaches, Ms. Gonzalez and Me October 16th.
