Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

Happy New Year!!!  And Welcome Back!!!

 

Please note that for the month of January 2012, the Auditorium will be shared with the Charter school to rehearse for their show to the shareholders.  Accordingly, Teachers of grades K, 1, 4, & 5 will bring their classes directly into the cafeteria and seat them at their tables. Teachers of other grades are to bring their classes to the gymnasium closest to Cypress Avenue.

 

Common Planning:  Teachers are responsible for emailing the weekly agenda(s) to Ms. Gonzalez (jgonzalez@schools.nyc.gov) and Ms. Hunt (jhunt2@schools.nyc.gov) by the end (Friday 2:30 p.m.) of each week; A copy of the signature (sign-in) sheet is to be placed in Ms. Gonzalez’ mailbox by Friday 2:30 p.m. every week.

 

Reminder:  Check your DOE email daily for notices, announcements and updated changes.

 

 

Tuesday, January 3^rd, 2012:

 

·         Breakfast in the Classroom commences for the Second and Third Grade Classes:

o   Please conduct your morning meeting during the breakfast time.

·         Reading Streets PD in room 502.  Teachers are to bring their laptops, Teacher’s Guide, etc.  Please be prompt:

o   Kindergarten –  12:35 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. (have students prepared for dismissal)    

o   5^th Grade -       10:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

o   2^nd Grade -      8:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. 

o   Pre-Kinder      2:25 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.

o   All Other grades please check the Prep Changes:

 

·         Common Planning: 

o   Enrichment Teachers at 8:00 a.m. in the Library

o   1^st Grade Teachers at 9:30 a.m. in room 312

 

·         Bronx Ensemble Drama Club Auditions/Casting Call for students in grades 3-5 will be held on Friday, January 6^th, 2012 from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Teachers, please hand out the flyers to your students by the end of the day and return permission slips and place in Ms. Hunt’s mailbox.  Thank you, JMH.
