2013 - Week of  May 27th – 31st :     

 

Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

Thank you for your continued support and understanding of the students that have been testing.  This week our fourth grade students will be continuing the first part of the science exam. 

 

Thank you to Mr. Baboolal and Ms. Lizardi for making the Science Fair a successful event; and to the many behind the scene supporters: Ms. Santiago, Mr. Rollins, Classroom Teachers…and the third, fourth and fifth grade students.

 

            Friday is Blue Spirit day in observance of the Memorial Day weekend.  Please assist your students in creating Red, White and Blue paraphernalia for May 24th.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013: 

 

  • Science Fair Award Ceremony Assembly for 3-5 students
  • Special Education Articulation Meeting in room 508 at 8:45 a.m. with Barbara Turner
  • NYS SCIENCE exams for Fourth grader students continue

o   Steel Pans Start Program Commences in room 102

o   8:45 – 512 & 509

o   9:30 – 513

o   10:15 – 510

o   11:00 – 507 & 501

o   11:45 – 508

o   12:35 – 511 (lunch will be at 11am)

o   2:20 p.m. prompt dismissal for students in PreK-2 grades.

o   Basketball game v. PS 369 in the Cypress side Gym

o   Extended Day for students in grades 3-5:

  • PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and Enrichment Teachers please be prompt to your class – 2:30 p.m.

  • Wonderful Wednesday – Be Bucks Ceremony in Auditorium
  • Fourth Grade Science Performance Exam continues
  • TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON – Both Lunch Periods in the Library

o   2:20 p.m. prompt dismissal for students in PreK-2 grades.

o   Extended Day for students in grades 3-5:

  • PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and Enrichment Teachers please be prompt to your class – 2:30 p.m.
  • Afterschool for Cheerleading squad
  • SLT Meeting in Ms. Gonzalez’ office at 3:30 p.m.

 

Thursday, May 30, 2013:  

 

  • Field Day at St. Mary’s Park – Students are to bring their own lunch
  • Mr. Sefa at meeting.
  • 2:20 p.m. prompt dismissal for all students
