2013 - Week of January 7^th – 11^th:

 

Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

            Please continue to review the PBIS matrix with the students for the classroom, as well as enrichment and cafeteria all this week.  Additionally, please finalize the instruction on the drills this week. 

We are pleased to announce that a new program commencing this week: the Leadership Program.  The mentors for this program are Mr. Vince Ferguson and Ms. Talia Marrero. This program is for selected third, fourth and fifth graders on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, respectively.  Please note that the library will be in use for this program on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., should you require to access any books from the library, please do so at other days and times.  Thank you.

            This week common planning for classroom teachers will be in Literacy with Ms. DeMichele in her office; please be prompt.  There will be some overlapping with math planning this week so please see this week’s schedule changes for second, third and fourth grade teachers.  Next week the classroom teachers will be planning with Ms. Presto, please be sure to bring with you the “Big Ideas….” article emailed to you.  (The article may be downloaded on your laptop…therefore bring your laptop should you not want to bring a hard copy.)

            Reminder; that the Promotion in Doubt deadline in Friday, January 11, 2013.

·         Fourth Grade Planning – 8:45 a.m. with Ms. Presto in room –508 – please be prompt.

o   Third grade teachers will be observing in room 508 at 8:45 a.m. please be prompt.

·         Leadership Meeting with Ms. Tracy O’Blines at 10 a.m. in computer room

·         CFN 203 Lauren Lewis of Human Resources in the building 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

o   Please advise Ms. Clarke if you would like to meet with Ms. Lewis for any HR questions.

·         Faculty  Conference and Staff PD 2:30 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. -meet in Powers’ side Gymnasium (please be prompt)
