2013 - Week of January 14^th  – 18^th:

 

Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

            This week common planning for classroom teachers will be in Math with Ms. Presto in her office room 545; please be prompt.  There will be some overlapping with math planning this week for the Third Grade Teachers with Mathematics and Science.  Kindly bring with you the “Big Ideas….” article emailed to you.  (The article may be downloaded on your laptop…therefore bring your laptop should you not want to bring a hard copy.)

 

            Technology preps will be covered by the designated ATR in your classroom.  Kindly have your students practice the necessary reading skills with their independent reading books.

 

            In preparation for Friday’s Crazy Hat day, please email Ms. O’Blines if you require additional materials such as tape, staples, etc.

·         Morning Assembly in Auditorium – PBIS Mighty Mondays.

·         Ms. DeMichele with Ms. Gonzalez at CFN Principal’s meeting.

·         Ms. T. Rivera meeting with Ms. Hunt on PID at 10:00 a.m.

·         Staff PD 2:30 p.m.

o   Classroom teachers are to meet with Grade Facilitators on CCLS tasks planning

o    SBST members finalizing IEP changes in preparation for January 30^th deadline.

 

Tuesday, January 15, 2013:

 

• Dept. of Health in building to distribute glasses to selected students

• Ms. Clarke at CFN BEDS training 12 p.m.
• Extended Day for students in grades 3-5:

• PreK, Kindergarten,  1^st Grade, 2^nd Grade and Enrichment Teachers please be prompt to your class

·         Leadership Program – selected third graders in cafeteria 8-11 a.m. in room 504

• CRAZY HAT DAY – for all MHA Members
• Arts Program Director – Steel Pans meeting with Ms. Gonzalez

• Ms. Mercado, Ms. Maltby, Ms. DalPiaz and Ms. Maida at IEP Development PD at Queens North

·       Leadership Program – selected fifth graders in Library 8-11 a.m.

• Ms. Presto at CFN Math Coach Meeting
• PPT meeting in room 404 at 8:45 a.m.  – please be prompt
• 2:20 p.m. prompt dismissal for all students
