2012 - Week of September 24th – 28th:

 

Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

Teachers: please be sure to notify both Ms. T. Rivera and Mr. Adler of any students that are on your roster but have not attended school or with more than two (2) days of absences.  Additionally, please ensure that you are in possession of the cumulative folder of each child that is present in your classroom.

We encourage all MHA staff members to check their NYCDOE and MHA email accounts daily for up to date information and deadline notices.  Please communicate with both Ms. Presto and Ms. DeMichele as to the deadline dates that baseline assessments should be completed and results are to be submitted to both Administration and Coaches.  Administrative class walk-throughs will be commencing this week; as to not interrupt the lesson, please have your lesson plan available.

 

 

Monday, September 24, 2012:          

 

·         Ms. Ross will be at ACS training.

·         Ms. Carol Moses, Math Liaison of our CFN 203 will be in the building all day.

·         Mr. Gary Albin, District 7 Security Liaison will be presenting at the Staff PD in the Auditorium.  Please be prompt.

·         PBIS Tier 2 members will be meeting in room 312 at 3:00 p.m.

 

 

Tuesday, September 25, 2012:

 

·         Ms. Kirshner will be attending CFN 203 Special Education Liaison Meeting.  Presentation to be turn-keyed on October 2nd and Special Education Common Planning Period.

·         Ms. Barbara Turner – QIP will be present at the Special Education Common Planning in room 412.

·         Ms. DeMichele will be in technology PD.

Looking Ahead:

 

  • Prospective Acuity Math Baseline Assessment for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders on October 2nd and 3rd
  • Professional goals and student SMART goals due Friday, October 5th by 3:00 p.m. to Ms. Gonzalez and Ms. Hunt.
  • School is closed Monday, October 8th.
  • Wednesday, October 10th ARIS-Parent Workshop for Parents & Guardians with Ms. Hunt
    • 9:00 a.m. in Technology Lab
    • 5:00 p.m. in Technology Lab
  • October 17th;
    • No Pre-K Students in Attendance
    • Parent Workshop at 9:30 a.m. with Ms. Gonzalez
  • October 16th:  Second Graders Swimming Session at St. Mary’s Pool commences.
  • October 19th:  UFT Members’ meeting on Licensing, etc. in room 504 during both lunch periods
  • October 26th:  UFT Members’ meeting with District Representative Pat Filomena in room 504 during both lunch periods
  • October 30th: CFN 203 Special Education Liaison meeting.
  • November 6th: No School for Students – PD for all other staff members.
