Dear Members of the MHA PS 65x Community:

 

Thank you MHA members that stayed during the Parent Teacher Conference to meet with student family members. 

Thanks you to Ms. O’Blines for conducting the book fair for all children and student family members.  Please share with your students that our Annual Book Fair will end on Monday, November 19^th, 2012.

Teachers please have students prepare thank you notes, cards, etc. to the FDNY for the fire safety and prevention presentations.  All materials are to be given to Ms. Gonzalez for review prior to mailing. Documents are due Tuesday, November 20^th, 2:20 p.m.

 

Reminder: 

·         Please go to the website to secure:

o   Laptops and/or laptop cart for your students. 

o   Computer Lab time for Thursdays.

·         Cameras and video cameras

o   Teachers are to ensure that photography and videography permission slips are retained for every student.

o   All photographs and videos taken by students must be approved by Teachers (or Ms. Tracy O’Blines) before uploading to any projects for display, etc.

 

 

Monday, November 19, 2012:            

 

·         PBIS Monday Madness in Auditorium

·         Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. Presto & Ms. Rosario at CFN Math Seminar.

·         Ms. Marlene Ward of Universal Pre-K in building

·         NY Historical Society meeting with Fourth Grade Teachers

·         Basketball Tryouts for 3^rd, 4^th & 5^th Grade students with Mr. Adler at 12:35 p.m. in Cypress side Gym.

·         Staff PD 2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. in Powers’ side Gymnasium (please be prompt)

o   Tier 2 members and Educational Assistants – Bring PRIM book

o   All other staff members are reviewing Common Core Task to be seated with grade level colleagues in designated tables

o   Tier 3 members are to complete all IEP, compliance etc. with dates up to 12-31-12.

 

Tuesday, November 20, 2012:

• Mr. Mehno at CFN ELL Specialist's Meeting
• Mr. Ramos meeting with all other special education teachers in room 404 regarding IEP issues, deadlines, etc.
• Second Graders on trip to the St. Mary’s Pool.
• Extended day
• 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders. PreK, Kindergarten and  1^st Grade Teachers please be prompt to your class
• 2^nd Grade Teachers are to meet with Ms. Presto in room 554

 

Wednesday, November 21, 2012:

 

• Kindergarten Class trip to Green Meadow Farm

• Second Graders on trip to the St. Mary’s Pool.
